Kuala Lumpur | The Kuala Lumpur DanceSport Association (KLDSA) is proud to announce is's official debut of the 1st Malaysia WDSF Open DanceSport Championship 2018 on the 18th August 2018 at MABA Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
Ever since the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF) have changed it's name to World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), there have not been any WDSF ranking competitions in Kuala Lumpur. The last IDSF competition in KL was on 2007 in Berjaya Time Square.
This year, KLDSA is bringing it to Kuala Lumpur for the First time after it's name changed to WDSF. One of the highlight in this championship is the show dance performance by the Former WDSF World Latin Champion - Gabrielle Goffredo & Anna Matus, who recently turned Professional and defended their WDSF Professional Division World Champion Title.
This championship is recognized by the Ministry of Youth & Sports (KBS), Malaysia Sports Commissioner Office (PJS), Ministry of Education (MOE), National Sports Council (MSN) and State Education Department of Kuala Lumpur (JPNWPKL). It is also sanctioned and supported by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), Asian DanceSport Federation (ADSF) & Malaysia DanceSport Federation (MYDF).
General stadium ticket sales would cost at RM 100/ person for a full day entry. A very limited number of VIP tickets are for sale at RM 350/pax which comes inclusive of a Western Halal Dinner and a full day entry. The general tickets can be purchased here. According to KLDSA President, Mr Chua Kian Hong, "We are looking forward to a positive response of participation from other countries. Ticket sales is also our main priority as we wish to promote this International scale competition at an affordable rate to the public".
