News | SDSA Organizing 1st DanceSport Competition in Selangor

Selangor | The Selangor DanceSport Association (SDSA) led by Ms. Ivy Por as the new president is taking a new initiative alongside with the new committee members were taken place in January 2019. The Malaysia DanceSport Fedration (MYDF)'s deputy President - Mr John Fam handed the new committee with this association in hope of revising its activity and development in Selangor. The previous committee members led by Ms. Stephanie decided to retire from the association and handed SDSA back to Mr John Fam in hope of continuing the development of the association.

SDSA had since decided and plan to organize a competition on 20th April 2019 in HELP University Subang 2 Campus sponsored by HELP University. HELP DanceSport Club is also acting as the co-organizer led by Ms. Samantha Lim. SDSA spokes person, Ms Ivy Por who is also a WDSF A licensed judge commented that because this is a new experience for the committee and herself, they are doing a slightly smaller scale of competition rather than a national ranking to gain more experiences.

The Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth & Sports also recognizes and support this championship, It has the endorsement of MYDF and is affiliated to the WDSF and ADSF.

Mr. Chua Zjen Fong, the Deputy President of KLDSA is also acting as an advisor to SDSA to guide them advice them on official matters. Mr John Fam will be acting as the Legal Advisor.
