News | Breaking Group Meeting With MYDF!

Kuala Lumpur | The Breaking Community represented by Bobby and Leong Suan have met with the Malaysian DanceSport Federation (MYDF) Deputy President Mr john Fam and Mr Chua Zjen Fong, Assistant Sports Director of MYDF.

This is the first meeting between the two groups to include Breaking into the MYDF charter. This historic move will soon enable Breaking athletes in Malaysia to participate in Olympic Family Games and Olympic Games in the future when the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has since released a statement that Breaking might be included inside the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

MYDF will be forming a sub committee under it's umbrella and open it's door to Breaking. The group has discussed and proposed to MYDF to include them as Street Dance in the sub committee as it would help regulate and govern other dance genre such as popping, locking and etc.

The discussion has been brought to the board of MYDF and discussion is on going to set rules for the initial stage for the community to get things organized.
