  • First KLDSA and Malaysian Dancesport athletes (Chua Zjen Fong & Evon Chong) nominated by WDSF to compete in the WDSF World Dancesport Games in Kaoshiung, Chinese Taipei (Latin American)

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian athletes (Chua Zjen Fong & Evon Chong) to win a Silver medal in the Hong Kong ADSF Latin Open in Hong Kong, China.

  • First collaboration with Ministry of Education (MOE) to introduce Dancesport into all schools.

  • Organized first National Ranking in Bukit Jalil Gold Club, Kuala Lumpur.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian athletes (Chua Zjen Fong & Evon Chong) to qualify for final (5th Place) in the WDSF Paris Open Rising Star Latin in Paris, France.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian youth athletes (Yap Chin Yee & Yap Chi Yew ; 4th Place and Tan Yee Chun & Tan Chee Min ; 6th place) to qualify for final in the Youth Latin Event in Riga, Latvia.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian juvenile ll athletes (Lee Gao Xiang & Zoe Tan Zi Wei) to win a Gold medal in the Juvenile ll Open Latin Event in Taipei, Chinese Taipei.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian junior ll athletes (Tan Yee Siang & Zara Eliza Ghazie Yeoh) to qualify for final (4th Place) in the Junior ll Open Latin in Budrio, Italy

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian junior ll athletes (Tan Yee Siang & Zara Eliza Ghazie Yeoh) to qualify for 2nd round in the WDSF World Junior ll Latin Championship in Bucharest, Romania.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian athletes (Chua Zjen Fong & Evon Chong) to qualify for final (5th Place) in the WDSF Bucharest Open Rising Star Latin in Bucharest, Romania.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian athletes (Chua Zjen Fong & Evon Chong) to represent Malaysia in the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian youth athletes (Tan Yee Siang & Zara Eliza Ghazie Yeoh) to win a gold medal in the Riga Youth Open Latin Championship in Riga, Latvia.

  • Organized first WDSF Open Latin & Standard at Stadium Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

  • Breaking was first adopted and accepted into KLDSA and MYDF

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian athletes (Tan Yee Chun & Tan Chee Min) to represent Malaysia in the South East Asian Games in Cebu, Philippines.

  • First KLDSA coach (Chua Zjen Fong) to lead the National Team in the South East Asian Games in Cebu, Philippines. 

  • First KLDSA & Malaysian Athlete (Sam Jee Lek - Legosam) to win a Breaking Gold medal in South East Asian Games in Cebu, Philippines. 

  • KLDSA Deputy President - Mr Chua Zjen Fong was appointed as the MYDF Sports Director.
