It combines the points from each national championship - thereby giving due recognition to athletes who are qualified to represent Malaysia to titled championships and games.

All Malaysian athletes participating in in any MYDF sanctioned and recognized national ranking events (from Junior up to Adult category) will receive points according to the national ranking points. All points will be accumulated for a period of 2 years to determine the top athletes to represent Malaysia based on the highest scoring. After 2 years, all points will reset and start over again.
