The prestigious Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam (IDCC) is the stage for this event that guarantees to be an enchanting fusion of talent and artistry, captivating both spectators and participants.


Hosted by the Kuala Lumpur DanceSport Association, a respected entity endorsed by the International Federation (World DanceSport Federation), DanceSport Asia (DSA), and the Malaysia DanceSport Federation (MYDF), this championship serves as a testament to the burgeoning prominence of DanceSport in the region. Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia (KBS Malaysia) and the Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) rally behind the event, further solidifying its stature on the national platform.


Among the distinguished guests, the presence of Mr. Mohd Hilmi Bin, representing the Sports Development Division of the National Youth and Sports Department, and Mr. John Fam, Deputy President of MYDF and General Secretary of DSA, bestows an air of prestige upon the already esteemed occasion.


A defining highlight of the championship is the revelation of victors in the MYDF National Ranking for both the Latin and Standard categories. Amid fierce competition, the accomplished pair of Tan Yee Siang & Bernice Iu Weng Tong emerges as triumphant in the Latin division. Their victory not only underscores their exceptional prowess but also positions them at an impressive 5th rank in South East Asia in the WDSF World Ranking for Latin as of August 29th, 2023.


Equally remarkable performances grace the Standard category, with Edwin Teo Chee Seng & Kimberly Tan Cheer Ching from JDSA seizing the coveted top position. These dancers manifest extraordinary dedication and artistry, epitomizing the zenith of DanceSport distinction.
