Malaysia DanceSport Team Is Back on Track to Fight for SEA Games 2021, Hanoi!
March 15th, 2022 (Kuala Lumpur) - The 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Hanoi, Vietnam is just around the corner and our Malaysia representatives finally had the chance to fly to Italy to train and prepare themselves for the coming games.
The athletes representing Kuala Lumpur DanceSport Federation (KLDSA) are Ooi Say Keat and Che Xin Nee, while the other two athletes, Ooi Say Onn and Chong Kar Man, are representing the Negeri Sembilan DanceSport Federation (N9DSA). Four of our athletes are coached by Mr. Chua Zjen Fong and Ms. Evon Chong from MY DanceSport Academy. They will be flying to Molinella, Italy to train with one of the biggest DanceSport teams in the world, Team Diablo, WDSF PD World Champion and former Amateur World Champion, Gabriel Goffredo and Anna Matus for 3 weeks.
Meanwhile, the athletes will also be competing in a major competition, the Star Championship 2022, which is held at Pieve de Cento, Italy from 24th to 27th March 2022. Before the commencement of the SEA Games, this competition is one of the many preparations for our athletes to warm up and stretch their legs after 2 years of not being able to compete due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
