KLDSA Athletes Represent Malaysia at WDSF World Cup Latin and DSA Asian Championships

5 October 2024 | Kuala Lumpur DanceSport Association (KLDSA) is proud to announce that two of its top couples represented Malaysia at prestigious international events in Chengdu, China, on the 21st and 22nd of September 2024. Competing at the WDSF World Cup Latin and the DSA Asian Championships, our athletes demonstrated extraordinary talent, passion, and dedication to DanceSport.
In the WDSF World Cup Latin, held on the 21st of September 2024, the dynamic duo of Tan Yee Siang and Bernice Iu Weng Tong proudly took the floor, representing Malaysia in one of the most competitive events of the year. The World Cup Latin is renowned for its intense competition, drawing the best Latin dancers from around the globe. Tan and Bernice showcased their technical prowess and captivating performances in all five Latin dances, leaving a lasting impression on the international stage. Their participation marked an important milestone for Malaysian DanceSport, as they represented both KLDSA and the nation with elegance and skill.
In addition to their performance at the World Cup, Tan Yee Siang and Bernice Iu Weng Tong also competed in the DSA Asian Championships on the 22nd of September 2024. Joining them were another talented KLDSA pair, Ooi Say Keat and Che Xin Nee, who also represented Malaysia in this prestigious regional event. Both couples delivered outstanding performances, displaying their grace, rhythm, and impeccable partnership.
The DSA Asian Championships gathered the best DanceSport athletes from across Asia, and it was an honor to see Malaysia so well-represented by these exceptional dancers. Their performances highlighted the growing prominence of DanceSport in Malaysia, and their participation set a high standard for future competitions.
