News | WDSF Succeed in Getting "Break Dance" in 2018 Youth Olympic Games!
In August 2016, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) had successfully getting into one of IOC major Games which is the Youth Olympic Games. This is one of the biggest highlight for the WDSF community as the year 2016 had just ended. It is a whole new beginning for the WDSF community in the coming years. 3 other sports were also included in the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games. WDSF have many disciplines under one roof, other than Latin American, Standard, Wheelchair, Cheerleading, Salsa, Rock & Roll, Boogie Woogie, Swing, Formation, Hip Hop, Break Dance and more. Break Dance was chosen to enter the Youth Olympic First for various reasons, this however had helped opened a new door for the dance community that is is possible to be included into the Olympic Games one day.

On December 2016 last year, WDSF have announced more information and answering some major questions about Break Dance in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

As for KLDSA, it is also a new chapter for the committee to include Break Dance into the KLDSA Family.
"Break Dance will soon to be included as another sub component in the association very soon. We are forming a team to look for capable and interested Break Dancers, individuals and groups to meet up with us for further discussion and planning" said Mr. Chua, the Deputy President of KLDSA.
KLDSA is already the official DanceSport State association in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, they are responsible for governing the DanceSport activities here. Any interested or keen inviduals or groups may contact them to improve the DanceSport in Kuala Lumpur.
