KLDSA Shines in London with Complete Victory Across Solo Categories

London, United Kingdom- During 27–28 September 2025, Team Kuala Lumpur Dancesport Association (KLDSA) proudly represented Malaysia at the London Open 2025, held at the prestigious Porchester Hall in London. Led by Team Leader Evon Chong, the athletes competed across both couple and solo categories, showcasing remarkable dedication and competitive spirit on the international stage.

In the WDSF Adult Open Latin, the pairing of Lee Chong Sheng and Bernice Iu Weng Tong advanced to the 2nd Round, achieving an 8th place ranking out of 14 couples. Their performance highlighted their growing maturity and synchronization as a partnership, standing out among strong international contenders.

KLDSA’s solo competitors also achieved impressive results across multiple divisions:

Yeow Kai Wen reached the Finals placed 6th out of 18 in the WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Junior II .
Tan Li Xuan danced her way to the 2nd Runner-Up position (3rd place) out of 13 competitors, marking an outstanding result for Malaysia in the WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult.
Jessie Liau delivered a strong showing, securing 6th place out of 13 in the WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult.
Cherry Yeo Xiao Wei impressed the judges with her vibrant performance, finishing as 1st Runner-Up out of 13 in the WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult.
Bernice Iu Weng Tong triumphed in the WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult category, emerging as the Champion among 13 participants in the WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult.

These remarkable achievements not only reflect the athletes’ individual excellence but also signify KLDSA’s growing presence and competitiveness in the international dancesport arena.

Under the guidance of Team Leader Evon Chong, the London Open 2025 marked another milestone in KLDSA’s mission to nurture world-class dancers and promote Malaysian talent on the global stage.
