KLDSA Athletes Gain Momentum at Chengdu Dancesport Festival 2025

Chengdu, China, September 2025 – The Kuala Lumpur Dancesport Association (KLDSA) team participated in the international Chengdu Dancesport Festival 2025 in Chengdu, China, from September 20 to 21, 2025. Led by Team Leader Evon Chong , the small KLDSA delegation consisting of two couples competed across a demanding schedule of World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) and DanceSport Asia (DSA) events in both Latin and Standard disciplines.
The team’s most notable achievement came from the partnership of Lee Chen Sheng and Hazel Tan Kah Yen, who secured a Semi Final placement in the 2025 DSA Asian Team Challenge DanceSport Championships - Standard (Adult) event, finishing 12th out of 15 competing couples. This result highlights the pair's proficiency in the Standard discipline.
The team also gained valuable experience and measured their skills against top international competitors in several World Open events:
