Malaysia DanceSport Federation Finally Accepted as OCM Associate Member

2 October 2022 (Kuala Lumpur) - Malaysia DanceSport Federation (MYDF), the national federation of DanceSport of Malaysia, is officially an associate member of Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) after 12 years of being constantly turned down.
According to Mr. John Fam, General Secretary of DanceSport Asia (DSA) and Deputy President of MYDF, he expresses his gratitude towards OCM's Board of Directors for the consideration of MYDF's application and inducting them as one of their governing body's associate member. As of now, MYDF has the chance to have more effective preparations for the upcoming competitions: Cambodia SEA Games 2023; Asian Indoor and. Martial Games 2023; etc. He also added that MYDF is currently going through the apprenticeship period for 6 months before being recognised as a full member.
Special thanks to Mr. Chua Zjen Fong, Sports Director of MYDF and Deputy President of Kuala Lumpur DanceSport Association (KLDSA), for his efforts for the past 3 years on discussing and negotiating with OCM on behalf of MYDF.
