News | Postponement of 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 & Cancellation of Asian Youth Games 2021
1 June 2022 (Kuala Lumpur) - The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has announced that the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 will be postponed. The initial date of the event was 10th to 25th of September 2022 but it has been postponed and the new dates will be announced in the near future.
At the same time, the OCA Executive Board has decided to cancel the Asian Youth Shantou Games 2021, which was scheduled on 20th to 28th December 2022. This decision was made after the discussion of the OCA EB with the COC and the Organizing Committee.
As for the next Asian Youth Games, it will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2025.
